What Else Could I Do To Improve Rankings?

Hi,
Please can somebody help me. I first bumped onto this site in October. I got very interested and start doing all the things as per the material that I have seen in the website. I have created a website and I have spent hours working on SEO. However, I am nowhere to be seen on the Keyword ranking in Google and I have not got any traffic. I have done a lot of work behind the scenes with my SEO. As per site explorer, I have 630 back links and have an okay social media presence but dont seem to be going up in google ranking.
I have also tested other websites, who rank high on my keyword and they seem to be having less back links and social media presence then me. How is it possible? Please can somebody tell me what I need to do to find out where I am going wrong and any remedies please. Much appreciated.

Hi,

There are a lot of possibilities and it is hard to tell unless you share your website as well as the keyword(s) you are referring to.

Hello praspin, what kind of links have you been getting? Google has changed a lot in the past several months. If the links you are getting are from article sites or blog comments or guest blogging, Google may not be even acknowledging them at all. From what I have observed in the past few years is Google ignoring links from article sites, blogs and even forums. I have seen many of my older sites and pages drop quite a bit in the rankings because (I believe) they were ranked based largely on these kind of links from several years back and these kind of links are no longer of any value.

Take a close look at your link structure and I wouldn't bother creating any links like these for webpage ranking. At best your might create these kinds of links for a small amount of direct link traffic, so if you like to write articles go ahead and write a large amount of articles in hope of direct traffic from them.

Never Give Up!!!

I agree with Paul. You may want to re-analyze your SEO tactics and target similar, high ranking quality websites for backlinks. I would also say that 3 months and 600 plus backlinks may still not get you ranked for your target keyword (depending on the keyword's competition) since Google ranks websites depending on a lot of factors and most of these factors are based from 'quality' - quality content and content backlinks. Try to build more quality backlinks and add more content to your website. Check your competitiors' backlinks and try to see what kind of sites they are building their backlinks to. This will give you an idea on where you can find websites to build your backlinks.

SEO is all about quality backlinks. Ensure that your content is absolutely fresh and not re-written. Google keeps a close watch on re-written content as well. At the same time try to get baited links to your website as well. Such backlinks can make a big difference.

Good point about content kallayprasanth05. A few years ago we used to discuss article spinning uniqueness needing to be at least 60- 70 % unique but that just won't due anymore. When you are writing content now a days you should read a bunch about the subject that you want to write about and make sure what you write if totally unique and fresh. If you wish to spin articles for the sake of direct traffic I would say that you should be striving for 80%+ uniqueness, not so Google will place value on the link but just to be sure that the site you are posting it on will not take it down in the future as they will update there sites uniqueness filters in time.

You might want check on the kind of backlinks your competitor sites have and build backlinks on the same websites. This does not mean your site will rank better, but it does even out the playing field, so to speak.

You can use SEO tools like Traffic Travis or Affilotools to look up your competitor backlinks.

Hope that helps. Have a good day!

I would stop going for backlinks and write more content for your site. This would be content with target keywords (additional keywords besides [whatever] Advantage or enhancement) for the male market you are trying to attract--and for some of those pages, longer content. Then, I would try those back links again.

By the way, this page http://www.makeit-big.com/how-to-enlarge-penis/ is returning a 404 error.

Also, you may want to delete the sample post, "Hello World!"

When we talk about website ranking, it is very important your website to be optimized with target search queries. It is very important to have target keywords in a web page. Having website optimized with target keywords doesn't mean to add target keywords after every line in content . Take care of keyword density in a single page and make a plan to add keywords appropriately.

You have to get as many good quality links to your page that are relevant to the content of your page as you can. It is just that simple. There are many ways to get links including, reciprocal linking with other sites, posting on blogs and forums, article marketing, and press releases just to name a few or try paid services of SEOclerks at cheap rates. I believe the most effective is to write articles and submit them to directories for publication distribution.

I am a novice at this. Has anyone used Fiverr? I am looking for someone to turn my website into a functioning interactive website, SEO optimization, etc. Any recommendations, or thoughts about using Fiverr?

Thanks.

Hi SusieB,

Personally, I like using Fiverr for graphics work only. I would not hire someone from Fiverr when it comes to content or SEO/linkbuilding.

For content, I prefer someone from Upwork or I do my own content. For linkbuilding and SEO, I do not like someone from Fiverr simply because most of the SEO/linkbuilding offers there use automated software and tools which I do not prefer.

If Google is ignoring links from article sites, blogs and even forums, what other ways are there to build backlinks? Every guide I see preaches these 3.

Google doesn't ignore links from blog and forum comments and article directories, but they tend to be overlooked. Search engines don't recognize these links right away, unless a user clicks on them and is taken to your site.

One way to speed up this process is to collect these links and then ping them.

If this isn't just working for you, then try social media marketing. You can build backlinks on sites like Facebook and Twitter. They're a great way to build online presence and interact with your target market too.

This way you ranking for any keyword would never fall. Good content with properly researched keywords is the best way to go about with SEO. You can also hire some experts from SEOclerks, to improve the ranking
