What are natural backlinks

Hi Chants,

First of all a backlink is a link that is placed on any other website on the Internet that links back to your website (homepage or inner pages). In case of the comment you mentioned, it only helps the one who wrote that comment and placed a link back to his/her site.

In Googles eyes no one should ever build backlinks to their sites themselves. It should happen through visitors who like your site and link back to you from their, for instance, facebook accounts. That would be a forum profile backlink. However, this is very unlikely to happen if you dont have any search engine rankings and are not known in the industry as search engine rankings come through backlinks.

Natural backlinking when building them yourself means that you should build them very slowly and steadily. If you want to build lets say 1000 backlinks to your sites homepage and would do it all in one day and use the exact keyword phrase in you anchor text, this would be very unnatural in Googles eyes.

However, if you build a set number of backlinks per day (e.g. 1 per day) that would be much more natural than the scenario mentioned above.

natural backlinks happen when other people llink to your content. most affiliate sites honestly never really see this type due to low quality content. you have to have exceptional content to get people to build links for you, but it can save you tons of effort if you get it right.

Natural backlinking will occur when you create great content and get enough exposure to your blog to attract natural backlinks. If your blog is established you will have natural exposure from:

- your regular visitors
- RSS subscribers
- your list
- natural search engine traffic
- your reputation (for example, if people are searching for a topic related to your blog, they will come to your site and search for it)

In this case, when you create great content there is a good chance to attracting backlinks. If you are new blog or not established, you may need to get some eyeballs on your content first, to attract backlinks:

- leave quality comments on related blogs with a link to your blog. Readers of the post and that blog will visit your site. Also the author of the blog where you left the comment may visit and if he likes your content may link to it in the future.
- social bookmarking. If your content is quality or has viral potential, bookmarking may help 'get the ball rolling'.
- contact bloggers in your niche and offer to write a guest post for their blog. This will get you exposure from the author and if they agree, from their readers.
- write quality posts on forums and link to your blog in the signature.

Backlinks can not be over optimized. So if you want to rank for "dog training". Do not only build links anchor text "dog training", but let it look natural.

Also use anchor text as: website, click here, more info, info about dog training, etc.

Then the links look natural for Google.

Natural back link is a link to your site that you did not build yourself. It’s when a website or blog owner loves the content on your site so much they decide to link to it so their readers can benefit from it as well. Natural back link can created only through content and networking.

Natural backlinks are links that are created to your site without you doing anything to request or buy them. They could be in content, in sidebar or anywhere on the linking site. These links are usually EARNED but sometimes the linking site is scraper that does not wash out links. Natural links are usually high quality but they might not be.
Quality backlinks are links that might provide traffic or help your site advance in the search engines. They can be high PR links on relevant sites but they don't have to be. A link from an obscure page on the Pope's site might not be relevant and might not be high PR but I bet it would help your Google rankings.
