Weird Page Ranked #1

Hi all,
I searched "make cash online" and the first website is this one:

http://www.affiliatewatcher.com/7-techn ... ek-online/

This is in my country Australia, maybe different for the USA people? Can you guys tell me what comes up first? Anyways, I put that website into Traffic Travis and Analyzed the page for the keyword "make cash online" and it came up with a D grade. I was wondering how on earth a page like that with a D grade can be ranked #1?

 I am in the Philippines and your site comes up number 1 on google for "make cash online".

The page you mentioned is on the number 2 spot.

It may have to do with PR and latent semantic indexing (LSI). The page has PR3 and with LSI, the exact keyword phrase need not be present on the page, it is enough that the content be highly relevant to the search terms.

On top of that, google reviews content on webpages in relation to search terms. I believe they use human reviewers for this process, based on some articles I have read on the internet, like the one on http://www.seobook.com/archives/000915.shtml

Reading the content on the affiliatewatcher page, I do see that it is highly relevant to "make cash online". Remember that Page Analysis in Traffic Travis analyzes on-page SEO elements but cannot really evaluate the content on the page in terms of relevance to the targeted keyword. So it behooves us to write content which is highly relevant to our keywords and is of high quality.

 The domain age may have something to do with it.

Google tends to rank older domains higher than new ones regardless of whether you have on-page SEO or not. So, I think the LSI coupled with the age of this domain makes it rank very highly.

As Faradina explained LSI means that....the keyword phrase "make cash online" does not necessarily have to be on the page in that exact order. The keywords can be dotted around the page and still be very relevant to the search terms "make cash online". Anyone reading the article knows that it is about making cash online.
