How to Check Backlinks

Can anyone in the forum tell me how to check backlinks?

 You can use Traffic Travis to check your backlinks. You can download Traffic Travis for free from http://www.traffictravis.com

 Here is another backlink checker. It's pretty good but won't work once in a while. Not sure why.

There are cases where it's the search engines which choose not to show the backlinks, and that's why a tool can not retrieve them.

 I check my site backlinks in backlinkwatch.com tool. It is best tool for me.

 You can also try the link command in google search. Type in link:www.yourdomain.com (replace yourdomain.com with your actual domain name) and click search.
On top of that, if you submitted your site to google webmaster, then you can check backlinks through google webmaster tools.

 is this link 'http://www.yourdomain.com' is an easy and fast type of checking backlinks ?
i needed some addons which directly tell me on a bar about pages backlinks, is this possible.

You can try the Affilorama SEO Toolbar for Firefox. Not only does it tell you about backlinks; it also retrieves a webpage's PageRank, Alexa Traffic, Compete Traffic Rank, among other things.

It is very easy to check backlinks by siteexplorer.info, this is a totally free online tool, so just try it.

 My two favorite backlink checkers are majesticseo.com and ahrefs.com

Even their free services provide a lot of information. You just have to register to use them.

While the index is being currently updated, it already showed me some links ahrefs didn't see.

 There are lot of tools available on internet. I would recommend you opensiteexplorer.org and ahrefs.com, best tools to check backlinks.

 Many are not too reliable, it is not really esy to get a truly database of the backlinks.

I used backlink.com but I don't know if they are all shown.
