Big Days For Google Haters :)

I think its good for all aspects of SEO that Bing is getting market shares of Google. Bing is actually quite decent search engine just that everyone is so used to use Google....

But anyways check out these stats Seems like Bing Got a healthy 30% of users in US.

yep, Google is starting to lose, between FB and Bing. I actually talk to a lot of people who find all their information through FB now rather than google. and FB has a deal with search results from Bing now. I have gotten a lot of traffic through both.

Wow! Glad to hear that! I don't hate Google and have been using many of their webmaster tools with my venture. But seeing other SE moving up is good too. It's common sense that competition between the giants will only benefit the consumer more.

Love it!

Thanks for the good news!

Yeah, I think that Google needs more competition. I think it will make things better for everyone in the long run, myself.

I've been trying Bing for my personal searches for a week or so now, and I have to honestly say that it doesn't suck :)

I agree. :) I think Google is still leading only because they've become somewhat of a "household name" for search engines. It's good to see another search engine on the rise, but it would definitely be a long, long time before another search engine could replace Google.

My two cents. Happy weekend to everyone! :)

Maybe not as long as you think, Cecille. Wasn't that long ago when "Yahoo" was the big name to search. Then, I think it was Altavista. Now it's Google. Tomorrow, it might be Bing, and next year, it could be a site nobody's heard of yet. On the internet, things happen a lot faster than you might think.

My efforts have been oriented towards ranking well on google and my rankings are not nearly as good on bing or yahoo. Should we be planning ahead and changing our ranking strategies to rank better on bing and not focus so much on google?

Hi burkhardt5, your statement sounds so odd to me because I have done everything I can to rank high in google and can't get past page 15 in there search results however I am on page 3 an 5 in yahoo for the same search terms. I am not saying I would rather be on page 3 for google instead of yahoo but I just don't get it.

Google constantly tweaks their search algorithms to provide better search results for users. Quite understandable but very annoying when you are trying to rank in their pages. But there are other search engines, and you need to rank in all of them as best you could. Google may be the most popular, but it is not the only search engine.

Have a good day!

You can definitely make a difference. I'm using Yahoo directory instead of SE for my searches most of the time. I think Yahoo is not bad. I've been using them since 1999 when I got online for the first time.

And I have no problem finding what I want with Yahoo. Not necessarily Google who can cater your needs..

Cheers!

Thanks for your replies.
It guess I should not worry so much about bing or yahoo so much as my rankings are slowly going up on them also.
But i'm still wondering why I rank #2 on google, #10 on bing and #10 on yahoo. I would expect a little difference but 8 spots seems to be alot.
Oh well

Google is obviously the best search engine since there main objective is to display relevant search result, second Yahoo for being the first search engine followed by Bing as a good competitive (but only because they have the money) check vynora.com It seems they have them listed in the right order
