If you’ve purchased your domain name through us, we’ll give you a bit of notice before your domain name is due to expire, so you can avoid any disruption to your site.
We’ll actually send you two kinds of email: One is more useful than the other:
This is one that we’re legally required to send to you to let you know your domain is expiring. We’ll send this out 30 days before your domain expires, and another reminder 5 days before your domain expires.
Funnily enough, in this kind of “legal” email we’re not actually allowed to give you a handy link that will let you renew your domain name. This is why we’ll also send you a “more useful” email a little later:
This one will give you a unique link that you can click to be taken to PayPal where you can renew your domain. This should only take you a couple of minutes.
We’ll send you this email 14 days before your domain expires, and we'll send another couple of reminder emails closer to the expiry date. Each of these emails will contain a link that will take you straight to PayPal to renew your domain.
The cost to renew your domain be the same as the cost to purchase a new domain name.
When you’ve made payment through PayPal, you’ll be redirected back to Affilorama. If you'd like to check that your domain renewal was successful, you can check your domain details on a website like whois.domaintools.com. The new expiry date should be one year from now.
If you’ve accidentally let your domain name fully expire, and your website has gone down, it can take an hour or two for it to come back online.
If your site still hasn’t come back online within 6 hours (and you’ve done a hard refresh or checked on another computer to make sure it’s not just cached), get in touch with Affilorama support and we’ll look into it for you.
It’s quite likely that your hosting and your domain will expire at the same time, since you probably set them both up at the same time.
We’ll send you a separate notification before your hosting is due to expire with a link you can click to go directly to a checkout page where you can renew your hosting.
Once your hosting is renewed, you'll receive a receipt from ClickBank as confirmation.
If you have more than one site hosted with us, you don’t need to renew your hosting for each site. Your one hosting renewal will cover all of the websites hosted on your account.
