What is the best method of link building in 2016?

Hi,

I have just read that links from articles will soon be worthless. Here's an interesting post about it and an article to read.

seo/which-article-spinner-is-the-really-best-spinner-in-2016-t29508.html

So, my question is: what is now the best method for building links? I hope someone will help me.

Hi Monika,

Backlinks are still relevant since these are one of the things that search engines use to rank websites. The value of backlinks (and links) depends on how you use them. The links are irrelevant if they are used only for the purpose of ranking (for search engines). The links are valuable when they are used as additional sources to add more information to the article.

Anything that is done for search engines ranking purposes is a bad SEO practice. As long as the links are relevant to the article, then it is relevant both to search engines and to your readers.

I would suggest you start focusing on Content marketing which is all time best SEO strategy. As we all are aware of that Content is a King and Google also gives first priority to quality and relevant content.

Just to be clear for my noobness, when building relevant backlinks, social media groups based on your niche, pinterest groups based on your niche and forums still work right?

That is correct as long as the link is not considered spammy (built for the sole purpose of SEO). When it comes to building quality links, you need to make the links 'matter' no only to search engines but to your readers. Go with content marketing strategies as these provide you with backlinks that matter.

One of the things to realize is that these kind of articles have been going around for years. I heard 6 years ago that article marketing and links would be irrelevant by the end of the year.

Now, 6 years later they are still relevant. What to watch out for are articles for the sake of links with no real purpose besides building links.

I look at every link I put out as an ad for my site. I don't want people seeing poorly made ads, otherwise they wouldn't be interested in checking out what is on the other side of the links.

Remember, the purpose of links isn't SEO, although good links help with that. The purpose of the links (and pretty much everything we do online) is to get more people to your website. everything you post should be directed towards getting people to your site, not just through Google, but through the actual sites you are posting on.

Web directory submission is always a force to reckon when it comes to link building. Directory submission has not yet lost its relevance in the field of SEO. Of course one should be careful enough to pick the directories that do the work manually.

Is anybody here who has a website of a high trust with a good seo indicators and who build backlink profile manually (not with the help of content, but by yourself)? I'd like to see your backlink profile to analyze it

You can easily analyze your competition (any website) by using tools like Seo Quake and Moz Bar (these are both SEO plugins that work on browsers). You can also use Traffic Travis to analyze your competition.

Imho the best method of the link building is finding the websources that are maximum relevant to your website niche ans are not spammy. If you found a page where you can submit content?? for example, with the link to your website page, first you should look how does the donor page is relevant and how many relevent page from the whole website has links to this one from which you want to have link..The more relevancy - the better. The problem of the free article directories that they do not have such internal linking so the link juice do not have such weight as the relevant websites devoted to the narrow niche do.

Sorry for my English, but hope you understood the main idea and its helpful.
