Mobile SEO is essentially the same as traditional SEO. If your website ranks high in the search engines on your desktop or laptop computer, then your site will likely be in the same search engine position on your mobile phone.

The only difference that will determine how your website ranks in mobile searches is if your site is "mobile-friendly". If you are using WordPress, then I would recommend you get a plugin that will make it mobile-friendly such as WP Mobile Touch. This will make your site easier to navigate for mobile users and the search engines will favor your site in mobile search.

Since more and more people are using smartphones to search for solutions and answers online than a desktop or laptop computer, it is now more important to make your site mobile-friendly to please the search engines and future subscribers.

 Thank you for the tip on WP plug in. To most website owners, it is a must that they are able to make their website mobile friendly. Great content is by default a necessity for all websites, but in order to maximize mobile SEO, aside from great content technical setup and site speed (the faster loading time the better) amust also be taken into consideration.
