Urgent Help with SEO needed!

hi am new in this, but sadly am finding being an affiliate harder than i expected. I guess, the greatest challenge am facing is driving traffic to my site. i lunched my affiliate site around December, and since then i haven't been able to make a single sale.
The data am getting from google analytics isnt also good. i get an average of maybe 10 to 5 new visitors every day (and i cant help but feel something is wrong) .The bottom line is people cant find my site, heck i cant even find my site myself when i search for it in google.
This is my site, www.fatsolution.net . you guys can check it out, and tell me what am missing.
I really need to do something concerning my SEO, the traffic coming into my site is terrible. this is the reason i have postponed starting ppc advertising.
Any advice to a frustrated newbie like me to improve my traffic will be welcomed. Thanks

Hello abasieyoadams,

I did review your website and here is my comment.
Your content is small, Add some optin form in your sidebar or some in your content. Add some interactive to stay your visitors in your website.

Create your own content and do not copy articles from other website!

Hi having looked at your site its a good beginning but for the first 6months dont even think about traffic. Think putting quality content on your site. Joining all the social media sites, guest blogging, commerting etc. Google will send you some traffic just to see if people stay on your site so you need to give them a reason to stay. You need to give people a reason to buy from you and if you have talked to them through social media you have a greater chance. I have been running a fitness site for two years now and before you make any money you need to get yourself known. Its a long hard grind but very rewarding
. Last thing think how you can help people not how much money you will make.

Thank you a lot. I will start looking into your suggestions. Also, you mentioned something about google pander. What is that please?
Also, I opened the 1st two links you pasted, it took me to a "copyscape" website. If am not mistaken, the function of that website is to determine which content on a site is "copied" from another. But three of the articles on my site where written by me. I only scattered them around other websites to increase exposure (like ezine and nairaland). Is this a bad idea or bad practice? Also, the other articles I posted on my sites were unaltered in anyway, and had links linking back to the owners website (so I would even think am helping them advertise their site for free!!). Is this also frown upon or bad practice?

What Google panda detects?

1.) low quality and outdated content
2.) Scrap content
3.) Keyword Stuffing
4.) Spam links

i'm on google webmaster forum and i'm helping others to review why they hit their website with google algorithms. Many website has drop their rankings or worst google penalty because of google panda and penguin. If your website has a penalty you will be de-index your website in google website list.

Yes that is the case. If you have the same articles in other website you will not rank well. Scrap content is against google guidelines. and i will add some comment in your website do not keyword stuff.

loss - 13 - 4.91%
weight - 11 - 4.15%
fat - 9 - 3.40%

"But three of the articles on my site where written by me." but i tried some of your articles and there are sentences that are the same like this

Hi abasieyoadams,

You will need to have a better homepage. Try to put more useful content and at the same time try to include a sign-up box/opt-in form too so you can build your own list.

I also noticed that you do not have a lot of on-page optimization like interlinking your pages. There is no links found in your homepage.

Interlinking and providing anchor texts to your target keywords (and putting these in your homepage) is very important. This is how you strengthen your keywords and make traffic stay on your pages.

I also noticed you do not have meta tags. Try to review again your on-page optimization tips and have a checklist of what you need to incorporate in your site.

Also, try to re-evaluate your keywords selection. his is also important. Try to focus on more target keywords like choosing long tail keywords, product keywords, author keywords, emergency keywords, and keywords with buyer intent.

I hope that helps!

HI abasieyoadams,

You can search for WordPress plugins. That will make things easier for you.

You can check out opt-in form plugin for WP

As for comments, you may enable blog commenting in your WP panel.

I hope that helps.
