Google dance or penalty?

Got a couple of good backlinks and after weeks my site went down. Do you think it's Google dance, no?

 If its going for couple of months then its probably a penalty

 Typical google dance scenario, if it continues then probably it might be a penalty.

 If you are not doing any black hat, it is probably just nothing. But if you do, then better start a manual check of your backlinks and clean it.

 Last few days of April 2021 there were so many spikes in google SERPs!

 Looks like a google dance. Maybe try to check all your links if they have been indexed by google.

 check for signals where you can get an idea if the dance is because of SERPs violations or it's something else.

For penalty, you can check GSC!

 Recently google completed algorithm rollout. so it may be the reason for SERP violations!
