First Link Strategies?

I am watching the Week One videos again and Mark talks about getting your first link to your website.

He mentions services, but I am not hearing what these are.

So... what ways have you gotten the first links to your site?

 I have been using Linkmarket.com and linkmetro.com also with positve results.

To expand on this........... I would only use Link Market and Link Metro.
