Effective Ways to Prevent Negative SEO

Some of my sites are ranking well in SERPs and i noticed some suspicious spammy backlinks (which i did not add) are showing up. Do you think it is a negative SEO? Can you suggest ways to prevent Negative SEO attacks?

First, you can send an email to the site owners! If they don't remove links lastly you can upload the disavow file.

And sometimes such links are generated automatically, (not done by competitors) so in that case we are helpless. we just have to monitor links in intervals and deal with them!

Brand yourself across the top DA social sites making sure your URL has your main keyword or brand name. Link to your other social accounts when available.

You no doubt don't ever have to really worry about this if you do this properly. There are 100s of sites out there. I have a giant list but it's not available for the public.. just saying it's easy to find.

A lot of sites will automatically get picked up through many different means, doesn't mean it's spammy links. Just naturally created by being online and doing a bit of marketing.

Negative SEO is the practice of implementing black hat SEO techniques on another site.
Negative SEO attacks can take a number of different forms:
Hacking your website
Building hundreds or thousands of spammy links to your website
Copying your content and distributing it all over the internet
Pointing links to your website using keywords like [word banned], poker online, and many others
Creating fake social profiles and ruining your reputation online
Removing the best backlinks your website has, etc.
Here are the strategies to prevent Negative SEO, as follows:-
Perform Regular Link Audits
Keep an Eye on Your Site Speed
Search for Scraped Content
Monitor Google My Business
Watch Your Keywords’ CTR
Check Your SERP Ranking
Upgrade Your Security, etc.

Checking link audits regularly are good practice for any company, but if you're ever the victim of a negative SEO attack, they can save you. The best way of detecting suspicious behavior before it spirals out of control is to track the growth of your link profile. Also, keep any eye out on your site speed. Site speed is a key ranking factor. If your website is becoming sluggish and you have no idea why you should use crawling software to look for anything suspicious.
