Buying PR links from paid web directories

Hey guys,
I've got a bit of a weird question, so I hope I make sense.

I've just started buying some PR links from paid web directories, to boost my PR. However when I go to the paid directories home page it will have a PR of 5, and when I go to one of it's sub-pages they have a PR of 0. I've added my links to the subpages.

After paying for a few links I used Traffic Travis to check the backlinks on my website. I found that the backlinks I'd made from these paid web directories have PRs of 0.

Does this mean that I got PR links of 0 or 5?
Does google register the link's PR via the homepage of that site? Or the PR of the sub-page?

Thanks guys :)

Each individual page has PR. If a homepage has 5 and it links to a sub page, then some of that PR will flow into the subpage.

You get the PR of the page your link is on. In this case... you got a zero.... the higher the homepage PR is... the more chance the subpages will have a good PR.

Thanks guys,
I had a feeling it was going to be a 0!
I'll have to learn from that mistake. :)

Try to find a page that has PR and submit it on that one.... at least your mistake wasn't too costly...

Does buying paid links from directories result in google penalties?
