Are link exchanges worth it?

Hi I was wondering if these types of sites were worth it, the reason I ask is this: I've been using linkmetro, and I have been asking high pr sites to trade links with me, and many have. But won't most of the pages that my link is on, (their directory pages), have a much lower pr, if not 0, and therefore not benefit me? Your feedback and opinions are sure appreciated, thank you.

 Just because a page is PR0 now, doesn't mean it always will be. If they are trading links too, their PR will also increase.

Link exchanges are still very relevant today in SEO. Don't know if they always will be, but for the moment, they are.

I try to only link to quality sites. I build my sites for my readers, and when they click on the links, I don't want them to see a junk site.

Don't worry, focus on building a quality site, and soon people will send you email request to link to you.
