Question about Classified Ads

Hello everyone,

I saw MaryT's reply on the post on solo ads, mentioning classified ads and have some questions:

1. is this a reference to Craigslist?

2. or just any newspaper that offer this online?

3. online-only outlets? and/or

4. All of the above?

Sorry for the test-taking nature of the post, lol.

When I've heard this mentioned by an IM "gurus" it sounds like how they started their sales business before the net.

 Hi Vivian,

Classified Ads are sites like Craiglist. There is a list of classified ads sites online; some are free, and some are paid.

After posted the questions, I checked out local papers' rates for online classified; those were, IMO, high. But I guess I can test some ads (not on those outlets though) and see how it goes.

 Classified ad sites resemble web directories in many ways. Hence if submitted properly your ad can rank in the search pages. The selection of the proper category is important before placing an ad.
