Monthly search volume from Keyword Planner?

I see they've changed the keyword planner again since the last time I've used it. Does anybody know how to get the monthly search volume for a list of keywords?

You have two options to start with and I picked the one that says "get search volume", and put in my list of keywords. But then none of the tabs will show me the monthly search volume for those keywords. Why did they leave that out?

If you click the "keywords ideas" tab, it's the only one that shows the monthly search volume, but it just shows it for keyword ideas and not for your list of keywords.

Am I missing something? Why isn't it showing this data?

Hi Kurt,

Ever since Google changed its keyword tool, you will only get to see the keyword ideas for your target keyword, not the exact match. Also, for the monthly search, yo can only see a partial number of the monthly search volume for a certain keyword.

Like you have said above, to do the keyword search, you need to click the keyword ideas tab and you'll see the monthly search data.

Why do you think they would change it so that you can't see the monthly search volume for your keywords? Isn't that the most important number we need to see?

Are there any other free tools out there that will show us the monthly search volume of our keywords?

Because Google wants marketers to invest on their ads than benefit from free information about organic ranking.

You may use Affilotools or Traffic Travis instead for your keyword research :)

Does Traffic Travis and Affilotools give the monthly search volume?

I couldn't find this information in Traffic Travis. In affilotools, if you go to "research" and then "keywords" that shows "local volume", but is the local volume the same thing as the monthly search volume?

Hi Kurt,

Yes. You can check out the links to keyword research below:

For Affiltools:
https://www.affilorama.com/blog/new-key ... rch-module

For Traffic Travis:
https://www.traffictravis.com/newsletters/0125

Also, Affilotools is more for paid ads, rather than organic traffic. The local volume is the local monthly search in Google. Traffic Travis both has global and local searches.

I hope that helps!

Hi,

Once you have installed the browser addon and activated your API Key, Simply go to Google Keyword Planner and search for any English keyword phrase. GKP shows you a range in the "Avg Monthly Searches" column.
Thanks...
