Writing PDF documents for ebooks?

Hi,
I am plodding my way through the 90 day plan and am now up to making a viral ebook to send out for free etc. On the technical side I was wondering how I write a PDF document, is there a tutorial on this or can I download some (free) software to help with this? Also are there any free avenues to design a book cover?

 Hi Zoe,

For the free PDF maker you can use http://www.openoffice.org/

It allows you to export your writing as a pdf.

As for the cover, do you have any graphic tools?

 Thanks, will look into it. I have photoshop, is it ok to copy someone elses book cover and change the title etc in photoshop?

I wouldn't.... although Photoshop isn't hard to learn.... and plus once you do... you will know for life :D
