Question for those with a list

Hi,

Did some brooding this morning in my bat cave ^^ and found the main reason i haven't started building a list is because of not knowing what to setup in the autoresponse sequence.

This is what i've got so far following Mark's 3x Information x1 promo sequence for an ebook i'm writing on video marketing.

Email1: Info
Download of ebook

Email2: Info
common misconceptions about video marketing

Email3: Info
Different types of video

Email4: Promo
Promo and why i recommend it

Email5: Info
.....

Need to flesh it out a little.

Any tips?

 generally, I recommend emailing my list once for the first 7 days, using the Mini course model Mark teaches. doing this sends out valuable info and gets them used to opening emails from you. No promotion during those first 7 days but valuable links. links to my blog, an article on someone else's blog, a video, something of more value .


The reason i do this is I want them used to opening my emails and clicking links in my email to find more valuable stuff. then when I DO send an ad, its more likely to convert.

Thanks for taking the time to answer man.

I remember sometime back (dunno if it was a special bonus and may have been for affilojetpack) where Mark was giving away an entire autoresponder sequence.

Any idea if that's still available and where we can get it (buying it if need be ;))?

 Fantastic! I have been having the same problem as Jay3 with list building. There is so much stuff here one can forget where things are.

Yeah tell me about it.

Friend just shared a cool wordpress plugin with me:

Something similar to what john chow uses where people can subscribe to your blog posts AND are notified via email when new comments appear on your posts without commenting

Pretty sweet ninja trick to keep bounce rates down and build a subscriber list at the same time ;-)

Thanks for that tip. However, I am using Kompozer for my sites. I will investigate how to include your tip into my site when I need it.
