Countdown meter for my site - Any good sources?

Right, I've had this neat idea of putting a countdown meter on my website. I figured I would ask someone in here first so then if someone needs something similar theres no need for them to go looking round for it.

 Hey Kiwi,

Cheers for that, I'm setting up a smoking shelters site for a friend of mine. The countdown meter is for the smoking ban which starts on the 1st July over here in UK. Just thought it was something good to add to it.

:idea: You might want to try Auctioning the last ever smoke ever smoked in the UK on ebay, it was done in NZ as a gimmmick to promote a bar and the smoke butt sold for something stupid like $10,000 or something on trademe.co.nz, NZ version of ebay...

They had it presented like a trophy...maybe a good viral idea for you.

 Thats unbelievable, the fact that someone would pay that amount for a docker (smoke butt) is crazy.
