web site

I have been having a lot of problems with my web site for the past few months. My site is normally around page 12 in Google search results but for the past few months every time I add a page to my site, it goes to the last page of the Google search results. I asked Google about it (in what I consider worthless forum) and they said it is because I have hidden links on the site.

And of course I have hidden links on my site they are hidden because they are links in drop down menus. They told me I need to fix that in order for the site to go back where it was, the only problem is after about a week or so the sites go back to where it was. So my question is if it were really the hidden links wouldn't the site stay way back in the results and not go back to where it was. Has anyone had any problems like this?

Thanks,
Mark

Hello Mark, I didn't have a similar problem, but I guess that this is happening because of the algorithm Google uses... Since it happens every time and not in some cases you cannot do anything. I recommend you to change your menu, you can find another way so your menu will not be hidden, try list menu.

You need to make sure your site is W3 HTML/CSS compliant and Google will leave it alone. If it uses ANYTHING besides regular markup then they will flag you and your results will start changing or your pages will end up in the Sandbox for some time. Visit the W3 for more info on checking your sites coding.

If your business has an online presence then you need to have a website that looks good and has good navigation abilities so that it becomes easy to work on these websites and can increase visibility of the website as well which would attract more viewers and help increase your business.

Update on my site, Everything I was told on google forum was pretty much crap the person who kept giving me a hard time didn't really know what she was taking about because beginning in mid February I have 8 of by sites pages on page 1 of google and I didn't change anything at all on my site. I guess it is one of those things where google's computers just didn't know what it was doing and didn't know how to rank things. And all the hidden links that got person on google forum kept telling me was bad but weren't really hidden well I don't have to say anything more about her not knowing what she was talking about since my site is doing so well despite her comments.

Hello Friends....
Web design is used as a general term to describe any of the various tasks involved in creating a web page. More specifically, it refers to jobs focused on building the front-end of a web page.
