Using my own web template - Good or bad?

Hi there,

I'm in the early stages of the blueprint lessons. I know my way around html and webdesign. So if I can avoid it I don't feel like spending time learning Wordpress or XsitePro.

For another project I have previously created this solid template using Dreamweaver:
http://www.newyorkguiden.dk (in Danish)

Can I use this instead of Wordpress and XsitePro or would I regret it later on? Naturally I would tweek it for this project - removing banners, AdSense etc.

All the best,
Jakob

Welcome to Affilorama, Jakob :)

You may use any website building software you're comfortable with. The only disadvantage in using Dreamweaver is that we (the staff) won't be able to provide you support in case you encounter problems since we are not familiar with it.

Enjoy the course!

Cheers,
Michelle

Thanks Michelle,

I'll take my chances with Dreamweaver for my first project and see how it goes.

All the best,
Jakob

Don't worry, dreamweaver is just fine. If you are good at it, you can create pretty amazing design with this software... Had it, but never used it.

I'm technically challenged. Wordpress works just fine for me.
