New Campaign - Average preparing time?

Hi All

A question which is on my mind for some time.

In your experience, what is the average time you spend on setting up a new campaign.

With this I mean the time between

- choosing the niche + products to promote

- having set up 'everything', from keyword research, other research like 'what do people write/talk about', website building of about 30 pages, set up blogging, Social Media, ready to start throwing in backlinks etc., using the blogs and social media pages.

All on a good and prosessional way.

Hope to get some feedback for which thanks.

Hi Rob,

The choosing the niche, products, keyword research and planning can be done in less than a day. It's the actual content creation, social media interaction, etc. that will depend greatly on if you do it yourself or outsource it.

Hi Rob,

The time frame really depends on your experience and knowledge. For starters, it may take longer to start the planning stage- since this may entail more research first.

However, on an average, choosing a niche and products to promote may be done within the day. You can also include keyword research if you have one day free for your affiliate marketing.

As for building your website and promoting it, you have to make a timeline of this in order to get organized. This is the most crucial part and it will really take you long to do and accomplish this part.

I hope that helps.

Thanks to you both for the reply :)

Well I am on a day for the preparing as you both describe. The rest for now is DIY and in my case indeed disciplined planning is the key.

Thanks again.

I have spent up to a month and more for a new site with as little as 20 pages but I am a little picky and do everything myself and spend a lot of time doing research for my articles. I believe if your articles are the best they can be not just ok but really good and you place your keywords in just the right places and do all the background stuff like meta tags H1 tags and the entire bit that it will take at least this long. If you put together everything and do everything right you will never have to worry about any google updates because doing it right will always be doing it right.

I agree with Rob that selecting specif niche and peoducts for effective promotion can be done 24 hours. This can only be made possible with ease through proper research and planning. This, of course, may vary on your experience in the business.
