My FTP is not working

Hi all,
Need a little help please.
- Just got a new domain from godaddy.
- I use the premium hosting here at affilorama
- Changed the name servers at godaddy to the ones for Affilorama.
- Went into filezilla & keep getting - connecting to 68.178.232.100:21 (which is the wrong ip address) could not connect to server.

I double checked everything & all is as it is supposed to be.
Any help would be appreciated

 Hi Steven,

After changing the name servers to those of Affilorama Premium Hosting, it can take 24 to 48 hours for the domain to propagate.
After the domain has propagated, you will need to unlock your FTP on the Affilorama Premium Hosting control panel.
And make sure that you are using the correct FTP details.
After uploading what you need to upload, make sure you lock FTP again, for security.

Knew about unlocking FTP. Did not realize that can take up to 48 hrs. My last 2 I could access within a couple of minutes.

 Hi,

My FTP connects to the server OK, but then I get this message right at the end. Is this also because I might have to wait up to 48 hours, or is something else going on here.

Command: MLSD
Response: 550 /: Permission denied
Error: Failed to retrieve directory listing

 This error is due to an invalid permission for the directory that you are trying to access. Can you please check if the public_html exists on your hosting control panel and if it has a permission of 755?

 I tried to connect to the Affiliorama hosting server from dreamweaver but keep getting "The remote host cannot be found" after filled in all the right blank with the right info i got DNS FTP and all that good stuff from Affiliorama but keep getting the error message, please help. many thanks
