How was this website made?

Its built using Wordpress and a theme called massive news.
I found that out by looking at the html of the site using the view source option. (Right click the page in Firefox then view source)
The site also has a huge amount of content which is what we all need.

Hi Omar,

Paul and Michelle are absolutely right; it is a WordPress blog using a theme called Massive News. Unfortunately the theme is not free; pricing varies from $75 to $150 depending on features and is available from Press 75.

Personally, I don't think it is so much the theme itself (although it does help), it's the site owner; Charlie Borland, who makes the theme look good as he is a photographer who knows what he wants and how to present his work. I think that Charlie could have presented his work equally as well using a free theme like NewsPress.

As a 'newbie' if this is the way you want to present your work to the outside world using the Internet, may I suggest you focus on your content first, the keywords for that content and the way you wish to present your message. This will help you to find the right theme and plug-ins to promote your message. In saying that WordPress is a great place to start and with Affilorama; a great place to to get ideas and support to set up your own blog.

I tried to look the way you did at the following site but could not get at the theme

I think the theme is port but I could not find any theme by name of port

Look like a great wordpress theme.. Wordpress is very easy to use for newbies. Although there is thousands of free wordpress theme , you can use that. Just google on free wordpress theme you will find many options.

There are also at least a half a dozen different web editor programs that you can do the same things with and I don't know anything about wordpress but you should be able to put all the text boxes in anyplace you want.
