How to Write A Welcome Page?

Hi

i'v just finished my articles writing through Iwriter and need to create my home page with a nice presentation of my website.
I have no idea where to start from.

Does anyone has any suggestion on that?
i'd rather hire someone do that for me!!

 If I were to write a welcome article on a pineapple site, I would possibly start with the 5 w's (who, what, when, where, why) and how:

WHO needs/wants/likes/uses pineapples
WHAT is a pineapple, and what is it useful for
WHEN is the best time to process/pick/throw out/juice a pineapple
WHERE are pineapples grown/purchased/stored
WHY use/eat/avoid/throw at your neighbor
HOW does one eat/store/ process/peel/throw a pineapple

Let your mind go, and enjoy the process of building your site.

...just a thought...hope it helps.

You need to answer the above questions on your welcome/home page and link to some relevant articles on your site. While it does help to have someone do it for you, sometimes it's best to try and do things on your own. You might actually be surprised with the results.

 I think for the most part that new people getting started in this would be well advised to try writing some of the first articles they are going to use. I think it does a few things. First it makes you as the website owner aware of what you really want on your website as far as information, how it should be put together and how to put your on page SEO together as you are writing.

After you have done this a few times it will make it easier for you to determine it the articles you have written for you are any good or not and it it has the information you need for that article. So give it a try to start with as Cecille said you may be surprised how good you may be at it.

 Hi Mark,

I agree! Knowing how to do a specific task does not just train you. It gives you an idea of how to best go about that task, and what results you can expect. If you know how to write an article and how to optimize it, then you will be able to tell the writer you're hiring exactly what you want. You will also know how long a specific task can take so you can have an idea when a task you outsourced to someone is taking a bit longer than usual.
