Feedback on my Site Please

I updated the look of my main website about a month ago and asked for what you thought, after seeing what you had to say I did a little research and made a few more changes to my site, I made it wider because now a days a site width I had is considered old style so I made mine wider, I also added a slider to the top of my home page. With the extra changed I made I want to know what people think now I also darkened the blue since some said it was a little bright, thanks Mark my italian travels dot com

Hi Mark,

The site's colors are more easy on the eyes now and go well together. You have two iFrames there: the welcome text and the opt in form. I suggest you take them out of the iFrames and just post them on the main page. You can write a small welcome note, followed by the list of images. Your users will see the opt in form much better if it is no longer within the iFrame.

My two cents. All the best!

P.S. Why don't you have a link to your site on your signature? It's one way to get traffic to your site. :)

Thanks for the input Cecille, I don't know what you mean by an I frame are you talking about the gray background behind the opt in area and the blue just above the pictures. Those are what my web editor calls quick shapes and suggests using them whenever you want to throw in a splash of color and don't want just a square box there. Why do you suggest taking them out do they do something funny on your browser. PS I didn't have a link with my signature because I didn't want to use this site as a place to get visitors just advice and help once in a while. I figured most people here are trying to help each other and get help not trying to sell, Mark

Hi Mark,

I love the new look :)

I still do not know why your subscribe box is a bit off on my browser.

Your site looks great, Mark! :)

No issues on the optin form on my end.

However, as part of your sign-up form, don't just say “Subscribe to our Newsletter”. You have to include something that shows value and tell visitors that by subscribing, they’ll receive great content, savings, deals or other great stuff. In order for your visitors to willingly give their email address, you need to answer the question “what’s in it for me?”.

I also recommend that you add the signup box to all of your pages (not just on the homepage). You could put it on your sidebar and at the end of your blog content. Once someone has finished reading a good article, they are likely to want to keep up with your upcoming blog updates. Placing it on all of your pages would drastically increase optins.
