Dreamweaver - Stopping extra lines being added in tables?

Hello Guys

Just a quick query on Dreamweaver; When you are typing text in a table or direct onto a new page how do you stop it giving a extra line return when hitting return/enter button?

I know I have sussed it before but cant quite remember.

 Just enter <br> or < /br> in the code and don't hit return, the text will continue on the line below without a space.

There may be a more technical solution, but it's what I do and I don't usually have any problems.

 Open up the code view tab and remove the second <br /> or <br>.

 Thanks for that, also found another way; holding down shift and hit return.
