Do I Need a Website Builder to Build My Site?

I am brand new to this and have not even started yet. I was wondering if you could use a website builder site such as IPAGE to get started?

Thank you.

Hi Lori,

I have never used IPAGE before, for affiliate marketing i highly recommend wordpress. Before joining the affiloblueprint course i thought word press was really complicated, but after looking around online, watching some tutorial videos i found it really easy to use. I'm pretty sure mark has some videos posted somewhere on using wordpress.

If you are thinking of doing affiliate marketing, wordpress really takes the work off because you can get an amazing looking website up in minutes and concentrate on the actual content rather than spending all your time trying to get things to look right.

hope this has helped a bit :)

Is iPage a hosting provider? A lot of hosting providers will give you "website builder" tools, but like Rick says... you're better off going with WordPress since there's a much larger community behind it.

Before choosing any hosting provider, make sure you check out reviews. I'm seeing some pretty bad comments about iPage (hosting provider) in the brief look I've had. Keep in mind that a lot of hosting companies offer very lucrative affiliate programs, so you need to dig down to find unbiased reviews.

FYI, iPage offers $100 for each referral. That would be enough to sweeten anyone's review.

I personally use HostGator... have done for the past seven years. Never had any problems, can't complain. That's all I really need from a hosting provider :)

>>> They've got good customer support too which is essential for me.

You can also try Namecheap. The offer both domain registration and webhosting.

You can go with iPage still, but get the hosting package only. Web builders are all fine and dandy, but from my experience, you've got to have at least a basic HTML background to navigate such. Sure, there are templates, but I doubt any of them would be as easy to customize as Wordpress.

We also offer hosting through Premium membership. It includes a web builder, templates, as well as Wordpress install. Aside from the hosting, you get access to the all-new Affilotools as well as other exclusive training videos.

Hope that helps. Have a good day!

Apart from the solutions that were shared by fellow members here, there are various other free website builders available too which allow small business owners to create a professional website. you can also try http://www.webstarttoday.com and it is extremely easy and comfortable to use. It also offers a lot of features like attractive designs, content, uploading of images and videos, photo gallery, SEO, monitoring, hosting, domain name purchase etc.
