Can affiliate marketing on a Blogspot site be successful?

I want to know that is it a good idea to promote affiliate links and banner on blogger. Works or not.

I know Wordpress is the best but I am an occasional Blogger that is why I don't want to spend money on Domain and Web-Hosting.

 Hi Pulkit,

You can promote affiliate links and banners on your Blogger blog. But in my experience, it's better to promote affiliate products on your own website because:

1. You don't own your Blogger blog, Google does. If they want to delete your blog for whatever reason, they can.

2. Promoting on your own website gives you more customization options that help to increase conversions. It also gives you more credibility as a publisher or reviewer of products than on a Blogger blog.

So far I don't know of anyone who has had success promoting affiliate offers on a Blogger blog. Perhaps you can consider using YouTube videos instead? I know of a person who has made thousands in commissions promoting affiliate products using videos.

 Endy is right. You have more control over your content if you have your own website. Investing in a website is worth it, especially if you plan to build your business online.

I understand your point.
But things stand like this: Affiliate Marketing is a business and like in any business you have to invest some money at first.
If you are not willing to spend $30 / year for a domain and hosting then AM is really not for you and you should be trying to get a normal 9 to 5 job.
Free hosting has lots of limitations, and you might find yourself with your website closed with no explanation at all. How does this scenario sound?

 I think it depends on your blog. If it has interesting content that people will read, then it is quite probable some people will use your affiliate link to purchase the product.

 May be your idea is good as a beginner. Even then owning a website can do a world of good to your list building. You can brand well as a website owner too!
