Blog review & advice

Hello, I'd really love some feedback on my blog
www.hollywoodtopnews.com

If you guys can tell me what's good, bad and any changes that i need to make it would be greatly appreciated.

And also what kind of affiliate ads would be good for my website?

Hi Rhoda1990,

Congratulations for putting up your site :)

First- you need to improve your homepage. You need to have a good header too and perhaps add a main menu on top- listing all your main keywords as categories. Putting a top menu will help visitors navigate your webpages easily.

You need to also fix your footer section. It consumes a lot of space.

For your content, perhaps try to have a different content for the homepage alone. You can put something that describes your website and then also include introduction to the articles/pages you already have. You may also include links (to important pages in your website) in your homepage content. Try to include several main keywords in your homepage content.

Try to add more content and for each blog post/content, try to get your keywords optimize.

Your social media widgets are not properly aligned- http://hollywoodtopnews.com/2012/09/13/ ... mplicated/. You may also want to get that fixed.

Start inter-linking and doing on-page SEO so your pages will get indexed.

As for affiliate products you can add to your website, you can add products from health and beauty industry, fashion industry, music industry, as well as the entertainment industry.

I hope that helps.

Thank you for your response. And keywords for my webpage? Where do i put the keywords, because i have platinum seo pack. So i understand that keywords are the words people would google to find my post, but how about my page itself?? Like my home page is daily gossip so where do i describe my home page? And when i add images should i copy and past, use the url or put into my documents in my desktop? And how would i add images to my blog? Like underneath my post like http://www.laineygossip.com ? And do i change my header?

When you are making your article, you should be able to already have keywords to optimize for it. With every content you post to your website, you should have 1-2 keywords optimized. This means you should have keyword density (usually 1-2 percent of the total number of words in your content) and be able to link these keywords to important and related links or webpages in your site.

The same goes with your homepage. Try to at least have a summary of what your website is about with links to the most important pages in your site.

To put images, it is recommended that you upload your image files in your hosting account rather than just copy/paste the photo link. Sometimes copying the photo url causes errors like no image found, image cannot be loaded/found, or image is hard to edit within your post.

This site- http://www.laineygossip.com is actually a good site where you can get good ideas.

About your header, yes if you can get a better header, I recommend you change it. :)
