In terms of driving traffic Pinterest will be better than Twitter because pins that you have created will keep giving you traffic to your website. Pinterest is a visual search engine, hence when the user searches a specific keyword term your pin will be shown to the user and potentially get the click. The more pin you generated the more traffic you will get for your website, also the traffic from Pinterest will be passive traffic same as Google. You can't find this opportunity on Twitter

There is no best platform in social media as success differs on a lot of things like the kind of niche you are promoting and also where your target audience is mostly.
You just need to test and experiment which platform works best for you.
