Linking Website To Facebook

What is the best way for registering the name of your website to Facebook. It's to try and build a brand. Is this possible because all I see is just people's names.

Look forward to your valuable reply

Hi Jeff,

Yes, you can use Facebook when it comes to building your company's brand. You can do it two ways:

1. Create an account and set up a group in Facebook

OR

2. Create a fan page for your Company.

I also discovered a good article on how to build a brand on Facebook. I think this may help- http://mashable.com/2009/04/02/facebook-personal-brand/

Regards,
Mary

When you go to the main Facebook.com page and are NOT signed in to a personal account, it should provide you with the option to create a business page. I would try to name the page EXACTLY the same as your business name, or if necessary use dashes or periods in between words if the name is taken. For example, if your company is named

XYZ Affiliates:
XYZ.Affiliates
XYZ_Affiliates

Always keep it as consistent as possible.

Actually this question also is for the others as well i.e. Twitter, Linked-In, etc. as far asa simple creating a business presence and not a personal presence...

RE Facebook: I see on the main sign-up at the bottom to create a company page. As I understand it however, there are limitations.

Your answer to Jeff (both of them) are helpful. I am just a wee bit still confused... what I get from these sites specifically FB in this case, is that a Personal account must exist first in order create a business account...
Can you clarify this a little more... otherwise that's it, and we move forward... oh if you know please give a mention about the others too....
thanks

Hi Jmcvdk,

Well, yes you need to create a personal account then set-up a Company page after. However, if you do not want to publish your personal info on these sites, you can just create a "dummy" account to set-up a company profile.

I hope that helps!

You can link websites to your Facebook account. Post the links to websites in areas like the Update Status area. The full uniform source locator code to website will then appear together with the website’s description.

You can directly create your business page this is good rather then create the account for your brand.
