Social profile helps us to get closer to our potential customers. At the same time what do you think are the techniques to manage social profiles? How do you maintain your social profile?

Make it a point to post regularly, even if that means just once a week. Be sure to keep a consistent message across all profiles and engage with others.

Becoming successful in managing social profiles also requires you to connect to your followers/friends in a personal tone. Do not sell or advertise.

I also suggest you do a quick research on the latest trends in marketing in social media sites.

I hope that helps!

Social media sites help create a strong online presence for your site/business. Make sure to post regularly, and that when you do, make it something that is interesting and informative for your followers or circle. Remember that you want these followers to go to your site and eventually purchase, so engage them with valuable content.

Hope that helps. Have a good day!

Maintaining a social profile is very necessary, there are a lot of people online on social media platforms and being active gives you a chance to share valuable information with them. The more user you interact with the more benefit you gets in terms of traffic and back links.

Managing your social profile is imperative since you are opening the personal details of your life to the public, the world of social media. Another thing is the business side of this as you will be selling yourself to prospective employers, so make the most of your social profile.

Social media can also be incredibly useful for gaining perspective on competitor engagement tactics. By watching what other companies have been successful at promoting online via tweets, posts or online contests, it can help you to develop a similar strategy or develop a revolutionary one. It's a backdoor research approach that shouldn't be underrated!

Question about your social profile.
Do you leave it completely vulnerable and transparent? For example do you let anyone view your personal information? Is it better for SEO and trust reasons?

Hi,

The thing with social media is you really have to be as authentic and human as possible. :)

But you may choose which information you like people to know. If you run a business online, you do not need to post all your personal information online. You just need to choose which info is helpful for your business.

It is important to keep in mind what you’re using social media for and elaborate a strategy according to your goals. For instance, social media sites are good for capturing attention and informing people about your business. Besides that, social media are a powerful tool to create brand reputation and establish loyalty in your customers. If you make audience interested and provide them with good experience on your profile or business page, they will be likely to share your content, interact and visit your site.

As for the question about managing social profiles, it’s a good idea to mix different type of posts to get audience involved. For instance, you may feature updates on your main site, share some articles or reviews from niche-related sites, even fun stories would do. So, post different type of content, so that your subscribers (and their friends, circles, whatever) can be aware of your business offers, learn something new and have some fun with your social media profile.

Another social media technique I find extremely helpful is using visual content such as pictures, iconographics or videos. Such posts are more likely to be shared and they usually drive more traffic in comparison with posts without visuals. As for the frequency of updates, just keep it reasonable: every day or a few time a week, depending on how much information you have to offer.

I'm hearing a lot of the same thing here.

Avoid selling through social media. Remember that you aren't marketing to an opt-in list. People will only listen if you are actually giving value.

Some crap generic online marketing post just won't cut it.

The best tip is to sync all of your social media so that all your posts are getting replicated between facebook, twitter and linkedin. These are the big 3. Don't bother with the rest.

If you want to go straight for sales you'll have zero success unless you use ads.

Interesting discussion and lots of argues for social media profile which really inspired individuals to make strong social profile. In my view make your social media profile look professional by filling all the sections of your profile with decent content ans reality as well, I mean avoid to put fake information in your profile page.

Finally it seems content alone stands out in the crowd! Yes, content should be laden with innovative ideas without any sort of sales pitch whatsoever.
