My advice would be to analyze, analyze, analyze. Look at each step of the process. Could quality be improved? If you're using social media for marketing, analyze your demographic, posting times, posting types (photo vs. text), whether most of your visitors are using laptops or mobile devices, then be sure that you're optimizing your posts based on that information. Where are they directed to from there...do you have a squeeze page? Research SEO, then implement what you've learned. Blog/Forum commenting works well as long as you're using backlinks. There are so many steps in the process, that it is very easy to miss a little bit in the process. I'd definitely focus on one site at a time until you feel you've worked out any kinks you can find.
