Facebook page help

Hi I am new here and i have a question about how to start a facebook page.
I want to start a simple facebook page that will eventually link to my website. But for starters, only a facebook page. I am going to be interested in affiliate marketing, so i would be posting products on my page both physical and digital.
To start off in my page, i am going to be posting lots of informative articles ranging from healthy recipies and exercise, to recipies for organic hair and body butter, and also, inspirational articles and memes.
My question: What type of facebook page should i create? Should i choose Personal blog, Buisness/organization, or should i chose Product? Keep in mind, i am not selling my Own product, and this is not ecommerce, this is just promoting other peoples physical and digital products.
How should i go about starting this page? Please help, I want to set it up today.

If you will provide useful articles/content on your FB page, this should fall under Local Business Category then you can choose the right sub-category. You can refer here for more details.

As for promoting only on FB, please take note the terms and conditions of FB about affiliate links so you avoid getting banned from Facebook.

I have read the facebook guidelines... I dont know if i should start with a product/brand page, or if i should just choose the buisness/organization page. I have read that Local Buisness page is only for generating Foot traffic, which is not what i want at all, sence my buisness is souly internet.
I Will be promoting a handfull of Affiliate products tho.. as well as the sea of helpful articles i will provide.
So being that i want to do a bloglike page with lots of tips andgood reads, and in ADDITION, promote more than One affiliate product.. should i START with the product/brand page? Facebook says it wont let u SWITCH to a product page. I have heard other people using this type page, but if i do not have one specific brand i am promoting, what should i list as Brand Name? Or should i just characterize it as Product?
Also, sence i am promoting someone Else's product, and not actualy selling it directly on my page, should i just Forget Product/Brand page altogether? And just go with Buisness/Organization? Like i said, I'm going to be 'blogging' (is that the correct term?) on it as well with tips and reads, that my audience would find interesting.

Hi Brieanne,

The FB categorization is not really something that you need to fuss about because no matter what you choose, it will create you an FB page to start. The goal of categorizing your page is to simply properly describe what your page is about. For your concern on local business category, although this type is for brick and mortar businesses, you can still use this category to best describe your page. IMO, I would choose this category simply because it helps me choose a sub-category, which will help me target my market. If you feel this is not the best category for you, then you can choose the business/organization category instead. The Product/Brand is a category best suited for vendors not affiliate marketers.

Sorry, but your question is quite unclear. Are you inquiring how to use Facebook to increase traffic to your website? If this is what you meant, you need to be active in Facebook by posting good and relevant content on your FB page so people can click the link to your website.

Besides the quality of the posts on your Facebook fanpage, if you need traffic quickly, I think you should run FB Ads. There're many types of FB ads that you can use to get traffic such as FB Ads CPC, Increase Fans, Post Engagements...But this ways need you spend money on. IMO

Good luck,

Hello,

I'm trying to post a link to my affiliate product on my FB page. But it keeps telling me "The content you're trying to share includes a link that our security systems detected to be unsafe". What can I do?

Thanks

Facebook is picky when it comes to sharing affiliate links. I suggest that you avoid sharing those links directly to your FB page. You can instead share your website link and then from there, direct your visitors to your affiliate products.

You want to separate your affiliate page from your personal page. It's like mixing business with pleasure here. You need to focus your affiliate page solely for business purposes and also expand your traffic base.

The FB categorization is not actually something that you will need to fuss about because regardless of what you choose, it is going to make you an FB webpage to start. The goal of categorizing your page is to just correctly describe what your page is all about. For the concern on local small business class, although this type is for brick and mortar businesses, it's still possible to use this group to best explain your page. IMO, I'd select this class simply because it helps me pick a sub-category, that will allow me to target my market. If you are feeling this is not the ideal class for you, then you can choose the business/organization class instead. The Product/Brand is a class.

Don't forget to verify your page!

It's very simple to add your LLC to the verification section, phone number NEVER works.

You would like to separate your own affiliate webpage from the private page. It is like mixing business with pleasure here. You have to concentrate your affiliate page exclusively for business purposes and expand your visitors base.
