Does Bookmarking Attract Quality Visitors?

How important is bookmarking in marketing? Does it really drive potential buyers to your website? Please share your own experience in bookmarking.

 Bookmarking is on way to build links to your site by sharing links to your pages on various bookmarking sites. It can get traffic to your site, but most likely, just minimal traffic and not so targeted.

If you want to get targeted traffic then you need to build links on sites that are within your niche as well as on blogs and forums.

 really, bookmarking alone is just another way people spam links. Honestly, its the relationships you build with the bookmarking community that determines if it will be effective. if you spend time on their site, networking, and trying to treat the people like they are real people not just numbers to line your bank account, you can get a lot of impact.

I fell into that trap early on in my business as well.
Then I realized I was one of the spammers people couldn't stand on their site.
Sadly, most affiliates just use social sites to spam, and so affiliate marketing continues to get a bad reputation on the bookmarking (and just about all social based) community sites.

its not the site that matters, its the strategy you use to leverage that site that will determine if it works for you. Its pretty much the same thing with all "link building" options.

 If you bookmark your website content, it definitely attracts the visitors on your site. Specially the blogs of the website, in which people are more keen to read them. Thus bookmarking is essential.

 I understand that bookmarking helps a marketer to build his or her list in a successful manner. Having said that I would like to emphasize the fact that bookmarking sites have to be completed related to the marketer's service or product.
