I guess the same strategy would apply to any third party marketing.
Squidoo was a Web 2.0 site builder with a strong community.
So you could try is an alternative site such as http://wordpress.com, or probably even better, tumblr.

Hello, I have somewhat of the same issue as Alain, however I do have a website I am working on in Wordpress but I don't have the funds for domain or hosting at this time. Would tumblr and wordpress still work?

Do you need a website to do this? If not, do you have any articles on how to go about promoting products without a website?

Many options available:
You can use a free web 2.0 like weebly, wix, tumblr, wordpress (free version), Facebook like page and the best option is probably build an authoritative youtube channel and drop you links in the description area plus use the annotations. The cool thing about Youtube and Facebook is you can retarget people with custom ads.

I made about $1,500 last month promoting Affilorama by creating my own affiliate marketing blog. Now, keep in mind it took a little more than 1 year and a couple hundred articles to get to this point, so don't expect it to be quick and easy, but creating your own blog is a good way to go if you have the patience.
