Auto responders and email software - Any recommendations?

As i begin to build this business it becomes obvious that an autoresponder and an email program is essential. Even with my very small list I have spent hours cutting and pasting email replies and sending out offers. suggestions are appreciated as to good programs.thanks

 And they're not even expensive. I paid for a year and that way I pay less than $16/month! (insteadof $19.95)
