When optimising my site what keyword list should I compile?

Hi Everyone

Joined a week or so ago - good to see some familiar names here :D

I have been working my way through week 1 of the 90 day videos and I have a question about keyword research.

When doing KW research for PPC I would tend to look for 3 or more word phrases to reduce the competition and to more closely match what the potential customer might search for.

However, in optimising my site, what kind of KW list should I be compiling?
High traffic? (high competition), High KEI? Other?

Could you point me in the right direction please?

 I think you answered your own question on that one. You will want a list of keyword and groups that bring in a quality of visitors yet at the same time enough traffic to get those sales going.

 I usually go for a bit of both, try 50% of your keywords being great KEI and 50% being high search terms.
