Do I Look For a Niche With Easy Keywords?

I am new and working on finding easy to rank for words in traffic travis. I have tried doing this for a few different niches but most of the words come back difficult. Does this mean i have to go back and keep looking for a niche that has more easy keywords? Im doing the part on keyword Search Volumes and Competition. Please let me know if it is okay to use a niche where the buyer and better words are not necessarily easy. I want to be able to move ahead but it seems to me these words will need to be easy in order to rank at all. I have other web sites and I know how hard it is to rank these days. Any input would help.

Hi Cathy,

You don't necessarily look at the keywords. i suggest you look at the niches first. What niches are you interested in? Once you have three or four, go into Traffic Travis and look at your main keywords. For example, if I'm looking at the weight loss niche, my main keyword would be "weight loss" or "lose weight". The keyword "lose weight" has a global monthly search of 60500 which makes it a popular niche. You can compare the niches you have in mind and look at their global monthly searches to determine which is more popular. Once you've decided on the niche you can then move on to building a keyword list .

The keyword competition can be overwhelming, but do not get intimidated by it. I suggest you look for keywords with easy to medium competition. Try looking for keywords with high buyer intent and target those.

Hope that helps. Have a good day!

Hi Cathy,

You're welcome! If you don't mind sharing the niches you're looking at here, we might be able to help you with keyword ideas as well as suggest a few good keywords to target.

You can try using sites like Ubersuggest to get long tail variations of your target keywords.

Hope that helps. Have a good day!

I am wondering if the e cigarette niche is still a good niche to try?

Hi Cathy,

The e-cigarettes niche is good niche to go into. It has a global monthly search of around 301,000 and low competition for the keywords. There are some high competition ones, but mostly are in the low to medium competition:

You can target keywords like "ecigarette reviews" and "ecigarette brands" and sell various ecigarette brands on your site.

I recently wrote a blog post on stop smoking affiliate programs that might help you further explore the eCigarette niche since it is one method of trying to kick the habit.

Hope that helps. Have a good day!

You are very helpful. I am checking it out as we speak. I have a few in mind and this might be one of them. Do you think there is money to be made with dropshipping like the Salehoo affiliate program?

Do you know if we get more than just 25 searches in affilio tools? I am trying to plug keywords in the tool but it is limiting how many I can do. Is this because its a trial?

Hey, when I use traffic travis , a captcha keeps coming up asking me type the word in order to continue. Has this happened to anyone else, and if so, how do I turn it off!

>>> Yes, dropshipping is another way to earn online. I think SaleHoo has an affiliate program as well where you can refer users to their site and get a commission each time.

Do you know if we get more than just 25 searches in affilotools? I am trying to plug keywords in the tool but it is limiting how many I can do. Is this because its a trial?

>>> Affilotools is still in beta but there are limits to the number of keyword searches you can do at a time. This limit is also in Traffic Travis. You can only search a specific number of keywords at a time so as not to overload the system.

Hey, when I use traffic travis , a captcha keeps coming up asking me type the word in order to continue. Has this happened to anyone else, and if so, how do I turn it off!

>>> This is a prompt required by Google. Please enter your Google AdWords logins by going to File > Program Options > Adwords on your Traffic Travis software.

Hope that helps. Have a good day!

I have a question about traffic travis. Is there a new version that automatically fills out the captcha thing that keeps coming up? I did pay for the premium version so didn't expect something so annoying. I thought I saw somewhere there is an updated version that fills in the captcha automatically...can you tell me if this is so?

Hi Cathy,

I'm sorry, there is no such version of Traffic Travis. The captcha will appear because Google AdWords is asking for additional verification. I suggest you enter your Google AdWords account information in Traffic Travis by going to File > Program Options > Adwords in Traffic Travis.

If you do not have Google AdWords account yet, you can create one at
http://www.google.com/adwords/

Hope that helps. Have a good day!

Cecille, thank your for your response. I did go in there and put in my adwords details before because I had asked this question last week. But it doesnt stop the captchas.
I cannot do a proper competition analysis of keywords without the captcha appearing constantly. Does it mean I have to pay one of those captcha services to stop it? I am not sure about those.

Hi Cathy,

I'm sorry to hear you're still having issues with the captcha in Traffic Travis. Could you please test the AdWords account after putting it in. The Test AdWords Account button is on the same page to enter your AdWords account : File > Program Options > Adwords

If you still encounter the same error then please let us know. You may also get in touch with Traffic Travis support directly at http://www.traffictravis.com/support

I appreciate your patience and hope that helps. Have a good day!

I had tested it and it was fine. Should I be getting all these captchas? I just decided to go and pay for that captcha service and now its fine!

Whatever is your business niche you must focus the keywords related to your business niche. Use the keyword tool and also search the keywords on the Google trends as well. This will give you a proper result.

Although i have not asked any question so far neither about searching keywords but i have found a great tool in terms of Ubersuggest which is quite helpful for me. I do need to ask any more questions about finding my niche. Uber would recommend it for me. Thanks cecille.l

Hi Daniel,

You're welcome! You can also try Keyword Buzz. It's similar to UberSuggest and I sometimes use it to search for long tail variations of my target keywords.

Hope that helps. All the best!
