Critics Needed

I just completed my 1st site in over 10 years. Boy have things changed from way back then.

Check out this site: http://socialanxietyworkshop.com

Tell me what you think. What you would change, add, etc. Does the design look professional, although I'm not a professional designer.

My #1 goal is to get signups to the newsletter. I will be adding a free download to help persuade visitors to subscribe to the newsletter (S.A.Solutions)

I will be promoting this by PPC search engines.

Thanks to all that visit and reply.

I like it. The only suggestion that I have would to loo at doing some SEO work if you wanted to improve your rankings.

Hi frankie29588,

Congratulations for putting up your website :)

As for my comments:

- You may want to add a good header to match the niche. Your website looks bare and it needs some good graphics to go with it. :)

- As for the homepage, you may also want to consider adding more pictures and perhaps add more colors as opposed to plain gray in the background. It is important to at least have a good looking website as this is the first factor that your visitors will notice upon visiting your page.

- I also suggest that you replace your top menu with relevant keywords. This will help on your on-page SEO as well as improving user navigation. By categorizing the content and putting these categories in your top menu, readers can easily search for information on your website.

- Of course, add more content as you go along :) Do not forget to also start linking your pages and adding/inserting your affiliate links within your content.

I hope that helps!

First impression: it looks good!
To encourage people to sign up, I would move the subscription form up (on small widescreen monitors it could not be visible at first), OR, but this is a bit more agressive, you could immediately ask visitors their e-mail address as soon as they enter the website.
