Affilotools VS Google Keyword Planner search results

Hi,

I did a keyword research on both Affilotools & Google keyword plannar and found the results of the "keyword ideas" outcomes are quite different. I took "self help" as an example, and got 50 keyword ideas from Affilotools, 800 from Google keyword plannar, can anyone tell what the difference between the 50 & the 800? (of course the numbers are different)

Here are the snap shots of how I did on the 2 tools:

Thanks,
Billy

The results are different because the data came from two different tools. All SEO tools vary in terms of results as each have their own way of 'calculating' or 'estimating' the data. Furthermore, the Google Keyword Planner offers more settings for you to do keyword research and thus, the data you will get will vary from how you set your keyword research in GKP

Thanks Mary,
Even if Under the same settings(for example "location"), the results are still different between from the 2 tools, I know there are different "calculation algorithm", but do you recommend to just stick with the result from affilotools for the key word idea, and forget about GKP?
Thanks.

I recommend you refer to both tools for your keyword ideas. The keyword ideas are just suggestions that you can use for your website. The keyword ideas are NOT YET your final list of keywords. So the more kw ideas; the better. You may also use Übersuggest for more kw ideas.

Selecting your keyword ideas do not have to be based on numbers. You just select the keywords that can be used for your website/niche.

What types of keywords should you be looking for?

*Long tail keywords
*Buyer-intent keywords
*Product name keywords
*Permanent type of keywords (not seasonal keywords)
*Call to action keywords

Once you're done selecting the keyword ideas for your website; then it is time re-run these keywords on a SEO tool like Affilotools or Traffic Travis or Google Keyword Planner to filter the results based on competition. For this step, you just need to use one tool (to avoid confusion).

Then lastly, (and this is what I do as an additional step) run the keywords on Google search, enclosed with quotation marks like this: "keyword".

The purpose of running a search in Google is to check how many competitiors you have using the exact term keyword. Ideally, I only choose keywords that will not go beyond 500K search results in Google.

I think: Affilotools may have filtered synonyms, close keywords, or the like. Google just list the keywords you need, not optimize them!

Can you explain this please?

Hi Natalie,

Are you searching on Google.com not the local Google SE? You also need to understand that TT has its own way of analyzing kw difficulty that it may differ from what Google search results provide you. This is also the reason why I do another research using Google search. I want to check with Google directly including the the top sites in the search results to weigh how difficult the keyword is for me. I do not only base the difficulty in the number of search results but also considers the top websites ranking on the first page. I look into each of theses sites for their PR ranking, backlinks, domain age, page authority, domain authority, and so on.

Hello maryt
I'm using the keyword research function within affilotools but it seems is defective cause it keeps throwing the same keywords even when a put totally different words. Also it appears a message that says that I hit my daily keyword research limit, I thought that by buying affiloblueprint course that would give me unlimited access to this tool. Is there any other tool that we can use? Thank you.

The keyword tool of Affilotools can only give you suggestions that are within the keyword/s you have searched. If you've searched for keywords that are similar or related to the ones you've searched prior, there is a higher chance that you will get the same keyword results as well.

As for the limit, there's limit to the number of searches that you can do in a day for both free and paid accounts. Once you've reached the limit, you can try again after 24 hours.
