First drop shipping sale. So exciting!

Well i started my first drop shipping store right after Mark had Fred Lam on for the webinar's a few months ago.

it's not that easy i mean i have spent about $250 on small ($5/day) ad campaigns with no results (testing products/ads)

i have a pretty targeted ad now and todays results 4 website visits and 1 sale so that sale paid for my ad cost today as well.

Shopify is a great platform. they sent a automatic order conformation to my customer email & facebook messenger.

i was notified of a sell i placed the product order and then shopify sent a nice shipping conformation to my customer.

this is sorta easy lol

Hi,
Do you pay a lot for the targeted ad you mentioned in your post?

No I don't think so, since I posted this I have made 3 sales in the last 3 days.

My best ad is still set at $5/day my profit per sale is around $14 so basically I have not had to pay for my ads the last tree days.

My ads are super targeted so they don't get a lot of false hope clicks.

People that click are truly interested in the product.

Thank you, nates450r.
Would you mind telling where you order the ads?
There are so many websites offering ads that I am really confused.
Of course, they may not be suitable for my niche, but I would like to try.

Hi,

I just want to ask if dropshipping is just an additional source of income or another topic compared to affiliate marketing? How did you do that? Did you incorporate that in our squeeze page or website? Thanks for the clarification.

Sounds like you are doing really great. I would assume you are doing ads on facebook? If so make sure you dont screw the ads down too much as it will cost you more per click and sometimes it works out just as well to have a broad ad then a very specific one.

Well, when I started affiliate marketing I went though marks course back in 2006. And I did make some sales. Then my sites got hit with all of Googles regulations (2010) it's been down hill with my sites from then on

I used xsitepro for my sites and of course they no longer exist. (It was a great simple platform to use)

I have always heard of drop shipping before but just starTed doing it a few months ago.

The initial investment is slim to none ( monthly shopify store fee & ads)

And it's amazing after a few sales you make 100 times your money back.

I truly think it's easier to get your feet wet in drop shipping and see results quicker than affiliate marketing.

I'm no way a guru and i am still climbing the IM mountain trying to see the greener grass on the other side.

I'm turning my old affiliate sites into athority sites, slowly but surely.

Hope this helps your question.

Congratulations to all newbies who have made a sale or two. I have been trying to get my website in order with little success. I agree that the best system is to stick with one niche and follow Affiloblueprint step by step. I have decided to focus on one niche and placed the others on the back burner, but I am still not making much progress because I understand the steps very well but I am bogged down by technical problems and error messages. For example I tried to place some banner ads on my Wordpress website, and it looks very confusing and jumbled and I am not sure what I am doing incorrectly. I also tried to use fluttermail but noticed that my account has expired and I am unable to renew it due to error messages. I alo noticed there are tons of restrictions relating to promotig vitamins, nutritional substances, etc. I am also unable to use fiverr because I got an error message stating I should not communicate directly. The bottomline is I need a short term mentor to assist me over these technical hurdles so that I can move along. I have been referred to someone in my neighborhood but anyone in the forum is able to help or refer me to a mentor, I would appreciate. Not a long term mentor, just someone who is tech savy and willing to assist when I need some help for a reasonable fee.

Do I need to get a reseller license to sell stuff advertised at Ali Express? I am already advertising some of their stuff at *moderator removed link* with substantial markup on the "Clover's Bargains" page.

As for me, dropshipping business is my main source of income. I am running 17 stores, dropshipping with AliExpress, making around 15K of net profit monthly.

At the same time I also get affiliate commission from AliExpress while dropshipping. When I get orders on my dropshipping sites, I make purchases on Ali using my affiliate link. As a result I also get 8.5% cash-back on each purchase as an additional bonus to my main dropshipping income.

Hello everyone!
Yes.I really like drop shipping

Wile doing this kind of business module,I really feel very confident more than being an affiliate.
I congraturate all of you running this kind of business,it is real.

But also those who you are in affiliste business (included me currently) do not give up,instead I would like to suggest you to never be a sales man/woman (money always comes and all of sudden it's gone) but to always bring value to the world (the audience).

Thank you.

Spend wisely. First, understand technical errors, Understand the method, natural passion for your work is good. If you are doing it only to earn money without any passion or interest in your work you are wasting your time and money. Earning takes time. Have patience; let the Money come in first. By that time you might start understanding technical problems. Money is important; spent wisely...

Yes indeed Shopify is changing many lives. With just the recently concluded Shopify Unite Conference in San Francisco, CA there were huge announcements. No wonder everybody else including Magento is left behind.

Ecommerce space is like Affiliate Marketing in a way that there will always be a new strategy to get excited about and there will always be new courses to buy. So, always ask yourself where you currently are and decide if you have the energy and the focus to learn and implement a new strategy or if you even have the funds for a new course.

Hi,
I'm an affiliate marketer who also got interested in dropshipping.
I took a free ecom aliexpress dropshipping course from Udemy (By someone named Tim Sharp) and it's really a great course.
My problem is, I can't seem to get any sales (Made a few, but nothing "serious" that would be considered "profit").
It's weird because I've invested in a good ecommerce child theme of the premium Divi theme and have a really cool ecom store with 30+ general items (I will focus on a niche after I find a good product to focus on) that are picked carefully from aliexpress.
The course, although being free, is full of amazing information and tips and helped me get into the dropshipping business.
If you have the time, and don't mind, would you be willing to look at my store and maybe tell me why I'm not getting enough sales?
Btw, I run fb ads with $3/day, as instructed by Tim, for 3 days. Of course, using the fb pixel code with the plugin pixelyoursite.
I don't use shippify, I'm using woocommerce for wordpress.
Any tips or insight would be appreciated.

Have you tried merch amazon platform? They are in business for a couple of years now and the idea is to create a t-shirt design. Amazon does the rest of the job - create, sell, transport etc. With your experience in drop shipping this could be something you want to try.

Congratulations on making your first sale with ecom! I tried dropshipping before with shopify but could never get my free plus shipping offer to work so I decided to dive back into affiliate marketing, but dropshipping is certainly an excellent business model with the potential to be highly profitable. Mike Vestil and Adrian Morrison are the two pioneers of shopify dropshipping that spring to mind and they teach a lot on the subject. Alex Becker also teaches quite a lot on shopify. Keep going!

I'm really interested in knowing more about dropshipping and this post about your successful sales has stirred my interest. It sounds like you are doing well and I suppose you are using facebook ads so ensure you go by the facebook policies to avoid being blocked.

Way to go man! it's always a great motivation and confidence booster when you get the first sale. But don't get overwhelmed with it...

When you first starting out spending some money on testing different things is normal... Getting 1 sale from 4 visits is a good start. Go hit it hard now, put all you got into it and then enjoy the product of your work.

Yes, without any doubt dropshipping is still profitable in 2019. However, if you think that you can sell and get business just by listing products on your store and without doing much effort then you can't get success.J
